This board is finished using food-safe wax or oil and equiped with polished nickel handles for easy handling.

Your cutting board is made of the finest hardwoods, walnut, maple, cherry and red oak.  These cutting boards are assembled by hand and glued using food safe glue.  They are planed and sanded to an ultra smooth finish and coated with Clapham Beeswax. No stains or varnishes have been applied to your board. If is 100% food safe. 

Maintenance: To keep your board in good condition simply wash with warm soapy water and thoroughly dry it after washing.  You can periodically coat it with Clapham Beeswax/Carnauba Wax /Mineral Oil.

Recommended Usage: All Unique Wood Store products are designed and built specially for their intended use in this case slicing, dicing and chopping.  We recommend you NOT place a cutting board in a dishwasher as the extreme heat can alter the wood and the finish.  The cutting board is designed on one side for non-meat items like veggies, cheeses, breads, etc whereas the smooth uncarved side is best for meats.  The smooth surface will make it easier for cleaning and less chance of contamination.  Yup lots of R & D went into the design of this cutting board.
